Holy Eucharist
The ritual, sacramental action of thanksgiving to God which constitutes the principal Christian liturgical celebration of and communion in the paschal mystery of Christ. The liturgical action called the Eucharist is also traditionally known as the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is one of the seven sacraments of the Church; the Holy Eucharist completes Christian initiation. The Sunday celebration of the Eucharist is at the heart of the Church’s life.

First Communion
The reception of First Holy Communion is open to all children in 2nd grade or older. Only children who have been enrolled in a minimum of two consecutive years of Catholic Religious Education are eligible. Please contact the office for more information.
Requirements for Participation in Eucharist Preparation
- The child has completed at least one year of catechesis in either a parish Religious Education program or Catholic school.
- The family is registered as a member of this parish. If your family is not registered, please complete a Parishioner Registration Form or come by the office and fill one out.
- Preparation for parent/child takes place in the parish in which the family is a member.
Requirements for Reception of the Sacrament of Eucharist
- Student has been baptized.
- Student must be in a state of grace.
- Student is able to understand that during the Mass, the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
Requirements for Participation in the Holy Eucharist
- The student must actively practice their faith (including weekly attendance at Mass).
- Continuous attendance in a parish Religious Education program (CCD).
