Youth Confirmation

For “by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.”

 – (CCC 1285).

Candidates for confirmation receive instructional formation for two years before receiving the rite of Confirmation. All candidates are conferred each year by the Bishop of the Diocese of Beaumont during the Easter season. Only students who have been enrolled in a minimum of two consecutive years of Catholic Religious Education are eligible.

Adult Confirmation

Confirmation enriches the baptized with the strength of the Holy Spirit so that they can be better witnesses to Christ, in word and deed.  Anointed by the Holy Spirit at Confirmation, Christians strengthen their bond with the Church and become better equipped to carry out the Church’s mission of love and service.

Teens and adults of 18 years of age or older who have never been confirmed are prepared for the through the process of R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). Parishioners wishing to enroll in an English study program must contact the office for further instruction.

The RCIA course is offered in Spanish at the parish during September through April. More information can be obtained by contacting the parish office.
