The Sacrament of Marriage (or Holy Matrimony) is the intimate union and equal partnership of a man and a woman.
“God created man in his own image. . . . male and female he created them. And God blessed them, saying: “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.” (Gn 1:27, 28)
A covenant or partnership of life between a man and woman, which is ordered to well-being of the spouses and to the procreation and upbringing of children. When validly contracted between two baptized people, marriage is a sacrament.
Holy Matrimony is a grace-filled encounter with God, and a way to holiness. As such, preparing for marriage is about more than planning the wedding.

Marriage Preparation:
- Scheduling a meeting with the Pastor is the first step to take when preparing for your marriage. This meeting must be made at least six (6) months in advance of the date of the marriage. Father will complete a pre-nuptial questionnaire, sacramental records and other information.
- Attending a Catholic marriage preparation program either in the parish or diocese. Contact the office for more information.
